How to Use SCP on Linux Terminal to Copy a File or Folder
Alright what's going on everyone and this is where I'm going to show you guys how to use in SCP application through the linux terminal. the other day someone asking me about how to do this and I'm keep saying to him that its not hard to copying data to Through terminal and here is some specification you that you need to understand before you can do this through the terminal Lenox:
- the first one is you need to have basic understanding on how using the Linux terminal like copying data showing the list of files and folders
- the second one you need to understand how to operating the Linux operating system but it's not About the advance stuff.
- the third one you are alive, well just kidding, of course you need to be a lot to do this
alright to do those you need to follow these steps
- The first one you need to open your latest terminal, so we can just go ahead click on Start button and click terminal, or alternatively you can Press "control + alternative + T" for Ubuntu user
- The second step you need to enter this format:
“scp source_file_name username@destination_host:destination_folder” - after you input the command format , the terminal will asking you for the remote user password, and all you need to do is just go ahead and enter the password
- now you can copy data through the Linux terminal.
